Graduate Student Researcher
Keith Moffat is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department, where his research focuses on applying machine learning, control theory, and optimization techniques to power systems. He has been working with the Transportation Sustainability Research Center on the interaction between power systems and electric vehicle rideshare transportation. In particular, his research focuses on using real-time grid measurements to coordinate electric vehicle charging behavior with renewable energy generation and electric grid constraints. This research has been funded by the GEMINI-XFC research project, in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
