Gordon is a PhD student in the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley. He is interested in the intersection between sustainable transportation and human behavior. His dissertation research focuses on how intelligent fleet operations and infrastructure design can enable the electrification of ride-hailing and taxi fleets at low cost. He has also conducted research on the social impacts of shared mobility in Oakland, solar ovens in Latin America and electric vehicle usage in Norway. Before coming to Berkeley, Gordon received a BA with Highest Honors in chemistry from Williams College. In his free time, Gordon enjoys non-motorized forms of transportation, including climbing, hiking, and skiing.
